Golfers start well
The varsity golf team captured its first victory of the season in an away match near Pageland, SC.
Austin Duncan and David Kidd paced the team average of 43 with 9-hole scores in the 30's.
After a few practices, the Mariners pack their clubs for another road match Monday, at a course south of Columbia.

Soccer opener success
The Lady Mariners opened spring league play with an impressive shut-out victory. On a beautiful, cool March afternoon, and in a front of a home crowd, the team found both offense and defense to be working well.
On offense, passes and plays connected, and balls found the goal from the front and the corner.
Goalkeeper Lauryn Linn blocked, deflected, and caught all attempts to score on the Mariners. The senior made sure LPA's early goals were enough to seal the victory. Later scores for Lake Pointe added insurance.
