Lake Pointe has been officially re-accredited by COGNIA / SAACS. 

In October 2025, the academy hosted a visiting site team of four inspectors representing COGNIA and the National Association of University Model Schools. The team was on campus for four days, meeting with the board, school leaders, and staff. Members visited classes, reviewed documents and evidence of LPA's classical curricula, procedures and policies, five-year improvement plans, and more. They also met with parents and teachers, inspected files and records, and evaluated safety and financial plans. 

The accreditation extension and both commendations and recommendations provide the academy five years in which to continue to refine its program before the next site visit. The NAUMS board and its CEO, Dr. Gary Chevalier, sent official approval.
