Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Who may play on the golf team?
Golf is open to young men and women in grades 6 through 12 who take at least one class at Lake Pointe.

What about sports forms?
Students who have already played a sport at LPA this year do not need another physical or concussion training. (If you are not sure if you need this, please ask Mr. or Mrs. Kurtz.)

Students playing a sport for the first time this academic year will need to submit a physical and concussion training forms on or before commitment day. All students and parents will need a commitment form for golf by February 20.

Do I need to have experience with golf?
Having some experience is extremely helpful with golf, especially with the short season.  This opportunity provides coaching for those who already know how to play the game.  If you have never played or have only played a couple of times, but are interested in improving your skills, please see one of our coaches to chat about how you can learn and improve for the future.
The Tuesday Feb. 14 practice offers a good chance to come ask the coaches questions.

What about basketball players?
Since the basketball season is still in progress current basketball team members interested in golf are expected to give priority to basketball events until the completion of the season.
