Under the academy's overall mission (see below), Lake Pointe supports a three-season, competitive athletic program. Varsity and junior varsity levels (where available) compete in the SCACS league, 2-A division.

The mission of Lake Pointe's athletic program is the academy's mission, one and the same. This mission mindset causes Mariner sports to act and feel differently than some other school sports programs, as LPA coaches seek more than wins. Click here for more.
Lake Pointe is a member of the South Carolina Association of Christian Schools (SCACS) and participates in athletics through the SCACS league at the 2-A level.
LPA also competes in non-conference games against local and regional public, private, and charter schools.
