Men's volleyball scores wins in inaugural season

First time is the charm.

This year was the first for the Lake Pointe varsity men's volleyball team, but that didn't stop them from winning some matches against more experienced teams.

After watching the continual improvement of the ladies' varsity team, the men's squad formed under the leadership of two juniors by the same name, Ryan Kidd and Ryan Scott. Sophomores Taylor Wright, Caleb Willingham, and Matthew Elliott were starters, as was 7th grader Ian Baltz.

The Mariners competed in the SCACS 1A upstate division, where other schools have a history of playing volleyball.
