Spell-to-Write-and-Read (SWR) Phonics Training 
Three different area trainings are offered for the SWR Basic Seminar. This introduction to the SWR Phonics-based Language Arts program is mandatory for new LPA parents of elementary students in K5 through 4th grade, and optional for current parents desiring a refresher.

The 2-day training is thorough, and is designed to help the co-teacher understand the reasons, methods, and success expectations of the proven SWR program. The SWR teaching ematerials themselves are not self-explanatory, but after this weekend seminar, the co-teacher will be able to easily put the SWR tools to excellent use.

Regional SWR trainer Staci Jackson has led training seminars for LPA teachers and co-teachers for the past four years, and she has taught SWR in the classroom at both the first and third grade levels. Staci has a heart for teaching and for helping teachers and co-teachers to understand the program. While many in attendance will be LPA parents, other parents and teachers from around the region will be in attendance.
