Elementary Summer Math
Click the link below to download and print the correct .pdf file. These packets will be turned in for a grade during the first week of school.
2nd graders are expected to be proficient with their addition and subtraction facts. Practice these throughout the summer to reach this goal.
3rd graders are expected to be proficient with their addition and subtraction facts. In addition, they should know their multiplication and division facts 1-5, and 10. Practice these throughout the summer to reach this goal.
4th graders will be expected to be proficient in all their math facts. They will begin timed tests (4-5 minutes) with 100 facts this year. Practice toward this goal.
5th graders should practice their facts for proficiency and speed.
6th graders should practice their facts for proficiency and speed.
7th graders should practice their facts for proficiency and speed. In addition, please complete review sheets and tackle any tricky areas from last year's lessons. Students will be expected to have basic mastery of all four operations of arithmetic involving fractions and decimals. Speed drills will continue for the coming year. Rising 8th/Pre-Algebra Summer Math
8th grade students should continue to practice facts for proficiency and speed. In addition, please complete review sheets and tackle any tricky areas from last year's lessons. Students will be expected to have mastery of all four operations of arithmetic involving fractions and decimals. This work will count as the first quiz grade of the year.
