Can they do it again -- or even better?

The 2011-12 season ended magically for LPA's three teams. Each of the squads battled to a spot in the SCACS state 1Astate playoffs by winning games on the road -- all two hours away or more.

The varsity teams had to defeat the number one seeds in other regions. When the tournaments ended, the men's varsity was #3, the ladies' varsity earned #2, and the guys' JV, playing later went undefeated in the state tournament to be crowned #1.

The ladies' team returns all starters, and while the men's varsity lost some seniors, registration of interest for all the basketball teams has set a school record, so fresh talent will boost the various needs.
