Art students display online

Young artists are on display, available to parents, teachers, and a world-wide audience. Instructor Melisa Bolin invites the LPA community to browse some of the artwork posted to the Artsonia web site. Click here or visit  www.artsonia.com. At the site, simply type in "Lake Pointe Academy" in the box on the left.   Glue and pastels effort by 3rd grader Olivia C.

Currently on exhibit now are "Pastel Glue Drawings," a form of non-traditional art using glue and chalk pastel on black construction paper.   For this project, the class focused on the beautiful colors and designs found in the leaves of the season, Autumn. Mrs. Bolin led conversations about how God  is constantly changing the world we live in - providing us with beauty - because He loves us.

Artsonia is a great website for students to showcase their creative talents.  Parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles, etc.  can also view this artwork no matter where they live. Any one can easily view and family members can then create an optional log-in to leave comments supporting and encouraging their artist. Simulated "cave drawing" by 1st grader Anna Grace H.

Site offers ideas for holiday/ birthday gifts

The students' masterpieces can be printed on notecards, mugs, shirts, canvas, etc.   Not only is this a great gift idea for family but the money generated through Artsonia will help purchase art supplies for Lake Pointe.

By participating with this website -  LPA was given a $35 gift card to order art supplies for the school!  This went toward a new project Mrs. Bolin has been wanting to try. The supplies arrive this week!
