Classbook.com online book ordering
Parent ordering help: “Maximize ministry; minimize maintenance”
In the University Model, the highest return on a parent’s time investment is in interacting with their children, supporting and encouraging them in their studies. Spending time ordering books lacks the same payoff.
Working to ease curriculum ordering for parents, LPA staff members have completed the set-up of an online bookstore designed to provide families with a single source through which to find LPA-required materials. This source, Classbook.com, is an optional resource to LPA parents. Details follow.

Classbook.com and early adoption for 2011-12
Classbook.com comes highly recommended from other UMS schools we admire, and we have been monitoring the company’s services – and the other schools’ satisfaction -- for two years.
Even though most families have already secured their assortment of needed materials for the year, the store has been created now so that families can use and evaluate the program before next summer. Thus far, the initial “soft” opening of the store has gone well. Classbook.com has stocked materials for this current year for our newest families and so that current families can use the store as needed, especially for novels. Of course, the greatest aid to parents will come at the end of spring semester when families place orders for next year.
In some cases, Classbook.com may not be the least expensive option, but in others, especially with the used books it carries and the single shipping cost, the seller may be. Of interest is the fact that Classbook.com has a used book buy-back program also buy at year end.
Important note: using this source is optional.
Parents are welcome to locate required books through a variety of other sources, including book swaps, new/used retail sources, and online. Our arrangement with Classbook.com acknowledges that parents have the freedom to visit the online store to get ISBN book serial number and pricing information, and that families have the liberty to purchase wherever they like. The phrase “Lake Pointe’s exclusive online book seller” or similar wording applies to LPA’s singular vendor choice for this bookstore service, and not any obligation to parents.
