Fri., Dec. 02

  • Students
  • Staff
  • Parents
  • Siblings

Since there is a limit to the number of people LPA may take, interested helpers should register by clicking below to ensure a spot.

Please note: Youth must be at least 13 years old to serve at the warehouse.

The plan is to caravan from the school, leaving by 1:30 p.m., serving at the processing facility until 6 p.m. Those interested may also go out to dinner after the service.

Helpers will perform various light duties to help process shoebox Christmas gifts bound for points all over the globe. They will inspect packed boxes, add to boxes as needed, and shuttle the boxes to waiting storage containers.

To promote Friday's event students Matthew Elliot and Katie Kidd race to properly fill a box, while organizers Hailey Willingham (back left) and Jenna Tyrpak watch

Lake Pointe has sent workers to the Operation Christmas Child facility a few times in past years. This service project has proven popular because it allows the students, parents, and teachers to serve side-by-side.
