Three things prospective teachers need to know

* Lake Pointe uses Biblical integration, meaning that God's Word is interwoven and taught throughout every course; the Truth comments on that subject. It's a wonderful opportunity for teachers to grow their faith by using their minds, and to lead their students in doing the same.

* Classes meet two or three days per week, with parents supervising challenging at-home assignments on the other days to prepare students to return to the classroom (Elementary classes meet Tues. & Thurs.; Secondary meets Mon.-Wed.-Fri.)

* Lake Pointe's teachers are not full time. As such, working here makes a wonderful, fulfilling teaching opportunity, but a lousy "job." While we have a few instructors who teach on both elementary and secondary days, our faculty is largely adjunct; some teachers instruct just one course, allowing them to fuel their passion, while not surrendering family time. The average course load is three courses.
