Come learn what makes LPA a unique blend of education and parent involvement!

The prerequisite to the admissions process is to attend a Preview Night information meeting and open house. These presentations are designed to help families learn the "FACETS" (Focus, Approach, and Content distinctives for LPA's Engaged parents, Teachers, and Studetns. This examination of the mission, core values, and distinctive culture provides a peek into the heart and soul of Lake Pointe's educational ministry, as well as to better understand the logistics, differences, and reasons involved in the University Model.

The admissions process is to designed to help parents and school come to agreement on a family's match for the Classical Chrisitan University Model aims and approach of Lake Pointe. Vital areas include:

      (1) The parent-involved University Model approach
      (2) Lake Pointe's mission, culture, and operation
      (3) Parents' and students' roles

Why does enrollment close early / why don't students join during the year?
Lake Pointe's educational ministry is based upon a high level of parent involvement and student engagement. The June application deadline is the last date for families to comfortably complete the admissions process,  to attend the various summer training sessions, and to finish the summer reading and math preparation. Experience has taught us that when families come late to the process,  they are not ultimately served well and the students arrive at a disadvantage. The early summer registration cut-off helps to protect families by ensuring they receive essential support before starting later at the academy.

Lake Pointe's staff gives considerable time to serving families in the admissions process, but staff member use the school year to serve the families already enrolled and the summer to prepare for that service. We look forward to providing the same high level of care for your family at the proper time.
