National Association Certification

Lake Pointe has been in process to be certified by the National Association of University Model Schools (NAUMS). The culmination of the various steps of preparation, the certification visit, is scheduled for April 2010.

AdvancED accreditation expected

Since NAUMS is an AdvancED-accredited educational association, Lake Pointe, as a corporate member of NAUMS, will be immediately eligible to apply for AdvancED accreditation. Most area residents are familiar with SACS accreditation. SACS is a part of AdvancED. From the AdvancED web site: "AdvancED is the unified organization of the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI). AdvancED is dedicated to advancing excellence in education worldwide through accreditation, research, and professional services."
