Academic Calendar

Lake Pointe's rigorous academic program utilizes two 16-week semesters. The shorter, focused semesters allow the return of four weeks of family time during the year. To make this possible, preparation work and advance reading are required over the summer and winter breaks, especially in the upper grades. Week-long semester breaks are intentionally placed in the program to provide flexible time for students' individual study interests, to provide additional reading time, and to honor family-oriented holidays and travel.
